Roadtrip - Part 1, Cania Gorge, Queensland to Alice Springs, NT

On the 14th August, we went on to Winton where the Matilda Center is worth a visit and then onto Longreach. You need at least a day's stay (probably two) so you can call into the Hall of Fame and the Qantas Exhibit. We had seen them before but still thought them worth another look but the next day we left at 9:15am and arrived at Mt Isa at 3:30pm. There is plenty to see here also but having done it on a previous trip we were anxious to get to our main destination. Next morning we drove through Cammooweal and on to the Barkly Homestead about 260 km further on and stayed the night. Next day we called into Mary Ann Dam for morning tea, which is 12 km from Tennant Creek. On to the Devils Marbles which is north of Wauchope.
