Roadtrip - Part 4, Coober Pedy, South Australia

We arrived in Coober Pedy on the 27th August. After setting up in the caravan park we had a walk around town. Opal was discovered at Coober Pedy in 1315 and today it is Australia's largest and oldest opal mining town. A lot of the structures were built underground to escape the heat and to make use of the disused opal mines. This is the Catholic Church.
