UK and Europe Roadtrip - Bruges Cathedral

You can see some of the ancient tombs, dated from around the 1300s, through the glass on the floor. During restoration work on the tower of Bruges Cathedral in the late 1900s, they found traces of a romanesque portal from the 1100s. These included some of the bases and capitals that would have been attached to the columns. Select the photo below to see more of these finds.
