UK and Europe Roadtrip - Bruges

Like the Duc de Bourgogne restaurant (left) and the Chocolate Crown (right), many of the buildings in Bruges have these stepped gables. Select the photo below to see the entrance to The Groeninge Museum built in the medieval Eekhout Abbey and the Johannes Statue on one of the canal bridges. Saint John of Nepomuk was thrown off a bridge in Prague in the 1300s when he refused to divulge the confessional secrets of the Queen of Bohemia. He later became the patron saint of bridges.
