UK and Europe Roadtrip - Ghent

We decided to have a look inside the nearby St Jacobs Church. He was the patron saint of pilgrims. The Romanesque towers were built in the 1100s and the Gothic spire added in the 1200s. It is beautiful inside with a Gothic chancel that dates back to the 1300s.  Select the photo below to see it looking towards the back of the church.
