UK and Europe Roadtrip - Ghent

The 91m tall Belfry of Ghent is the highest of the three medieval towers overlooking the old city of Ghent and has been used as a watchtower as well as a bell tower. The other two towers are at Saint Nicholas' Church and Saint Bavo Cathedral that you see in the background (left photo) under restoration. The Belfry was built in the 1300s and a gilded dragon sits at the top overlooking the city since 1377. Select the photo below to see where we went next, the town hall.
