Fraser Island 2004 - Queensland

When the tide was nearer to high you could canoe up the freshwater creek for about 800m before you got lost in reeds. The water was quite clear and about 2m deep most of the way. It wasn't very wide though so steering the canoe was a little tricky through the overhanging branches. Can you see the cormorant sunning himself in the mangrove tree?
