Mitchell Plateau (Ngauwudu) National Park

The indigenous people of the area obviously found it a special place too and there is a lot of rock art on the walls of the overhanging rock in places where it is less likely to be eroded away by water. On the Mitchell Plateau you will see paintings of humans, Gwion (known as Bradshaw Art) and Wandjina Painting, as well as paintings of animals and plants.
