Kilkivan to Tiaro - Qld 2008

We stopped for two nights at Kinbombi Falls just east of Kilkivan and walked to the falls which had very little water in them due to the drought we've been in for many months. Since then though, it has been raining off and on for weeks so maybe they are a different sight now. We must revisit and see. Next we stopped at a few of the wineries in the Murgon area which are well worth a visit. Tiaro, further north on the main highway, has a pleasant little rest area right on the Mary River. We spent a couple of days canoeing and fishing. The meat we cooked from the butcher in Tiaro was excellent as were the hamburgers we from the snack bar in town.
