Germany and the Netherlands

Itinerary - For the next major leg of our journey (that went north-east as far as Russia), we started with an overnight ferry from Newcastle in the UK to Amsterdam. Driving north we explored the Netherlands and parts of Germany on our way to Denmark and Scandanavia. Returning this time through the middle of Germany we found ourselves having to drive longer days than usual in order to meet our Schengen requirements. The next and last major leg of our journey (also shown on this map) went as far east as Turkey and began with us exploring southern Germany.
