South Island New Zealand

We stopped for a break at Amberley Beach (black sand and rocks) just 40km north of Christchurch. It is a popular surfcasting beach apparently but there were no fishermen in sight that day. We tossed up staying there for the night but chose to keep driving while there was still daylight.
