Hawkes Bay to Rotorua, New Zealand

We drove east across the North Island from Lake Taupo towards Hawkes Bay and stopped at the lookout to see the picturesque 40m high Waipunga Falls. It was quite impressive and apparently even more so when there has been heavy rain as Waiarua Falls on the left is more obvious. The rest area is not well looked after though which is surprising, as it could be classed as a great spot for tourists to stop.
