Hawkes Bay to Rotorua, New Zealand

Who has ever heard of a steaming hot waterfall? Kakahi Falls is the largest hot water fall in the Southern Hemisphere and is around 40C. Maori warriors used to bathe here to wash off the blood of battle. The sulphur in the water was very good for wounds and scratches. The tribal Medicine man would also bring new born baby boys to these falls and dedicate them to the God of War. The full name of the falls is 'O Te Mimi O Te Kakahi'
