Auckland to Cape Reinga, New Zealand

Forty-three Northland Chiefs signed the treaty on February 6, 1840, with over 500 Maori Chiefs signing it as it was taken around the country during the next eight months. The grounds and building where the treaty was signed have been preserved. This shows the carving and weaving inside the large Maori meeting house.  Select the photo below to see more.
