Auckland to Cape Reinga, New Zealand

We continued north on our quest to make it to New Zealands's northernmost point on Cape Reinga. On the way, we stopped at Makana Chocolate factory for some tasting, passed Whangaroa Harbour and had lunch at Mangonui Hotel on Doubtless Bay - pretty drive. A storm was brewing and it was getting dark when we finally stopped at Rarawa Beach DoC (camp 27).   Select the photo below to see Rarawa Beach and lagoon.
