Haast to Greymouth, New Zealand

Pt Elizabeth walk takes a couple of hours and is well worth it. After the inital steep climb, the track is mostly level as it follows the old water race built by 19th century miners to sluice their gold claims. From Point Elizabeth headland you can see many offshore 'sea stacks' which are all that remain of the point that once extended much farther out to sea.
