Farewell Spit to Foxton Beach, New Zealand

Sand blows from the outer beach across the Spit onto Golden Bay. Farewell Spit is slowly lengthening as well as widening on the Golden Bay shore. At low tide the water goes way out as Golden Bay is quite shallow. Select the photo below to see Golden Bay looking towards the east at low tide. Notice we have blue skies again!
