Farewell Spit to Foxton Beach, New Zealand

We headed back up Takaka Hill with its amazing views down the valley and decided to camp again at Hawkes Lookout (campsite 16). Camera Disaster!!!  It snowed over night at the nearby mountains and I had left the camera out of the main cabin in the cold. The LCD screen seemed to have frozen leaving a small area in the middle where you could still see what you were photographing (no view finder in this camera!). It was a bit of hit and miss but the camera itself seemed to still work. Select the photo below to see the start of the Riwaka Resurgence walk we went on near the base of Takaka Hill.
