Wanganui to Lake Taupo, New Zealand

After the Waitomo Glowworm Cave Tour we had time to fill before our Blackwater rafting adventure. We walked across the road to the scenic reserve and continued up to the Waitomo Lookout past these strange weathered limestone rock outcrops. You try to imagine that 30 million years ago this entire Waitomo region lay beneath the sea. Select the photo below to see more of this area.
