Wanganui to Lake Taupo, New Zealand

Just 5 minutes north of Taupo is Huka Falls and it is beautiful in any weather! The Huka Falls are the largest falls on the Waikato River. You can do the short walk along the river and stop at the vantage points to see the river rush through the narrow gorge as the normally 100m wide Waikato River squeezes through a 20 metre wide gorge and over a 20m drop.
