Norway into Sweden

Gol Stavkirke (Gol stave church) was a stave church originally built in the 1200s in Gol, Hallingdal, Norway. It was demolished in the 1800s and reconstructed by King Oscar 11 in a private outdoor Oslo museum. This is a true copy of the Gol stave church which has been built in the medieval park of Gordarike. It was consecrated by the bishop of Tunsberg in 1994 and often used for musical performances and weddings. The woodwork inside the church is decorated with beautiful detailed carvings.
