Poland to Czech Republic

Album 76 - In this part of the trip we stop at what was once the Schindler Factory in Krakow before travelling to Auschwitz Birkenau which is less than 50km away. We very impressed and moved by this important memorial and museum. The size of this concentration camp and the fact that it was just one of many operating during 1942-44 by the Nazis, left a lasting impression on us. We then travelled south west and into the Czech Republic stopping at small towns such as Bilovec and Novy Jicin. Missed the last Album? See Album 75 which covers Poland from Warsaw to Krakow.
