UK and Europe Roadtrip - Alesd to Bucea

Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, is a Catholic Church in Alesd that was built in 1914. The 37m high tower and domes are typical of an orthodox church. More unusual is the wooden church with its shingle roof in the next town of Bucea. It sits high on Gorban Hill and was built in 1791 by the first seven Orthodox families to live in the village.
