Oyster Island and Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu

There were gaps in the coral/limestone/concrete walls and between it and the floor and the ceiling so maybe insects are sometimes an issue but we didn't have a problem while we were there. We didn't even light the mosquito coil provided. We did see a few geckos chasing each other along the bamboo! We thought it was wonderful the way it was built from the natural materials on the island but I guess we are the type that like camping and others may not be as tolerant. We prefer it like this than to stay in something that looks like any resort hotel the world over.  Select the photo below to see the shower.
