UK and Europe Roadtrip - Koburn Gondorf

We are travelling on an ancient Roman roadway that followed the Mosel River. The remains of a Roman wineboat from the 1st to 3rd centuries were found in this Mosel Valley region. Another barge makes its way passed the village of Koburn-Gondorf. The river fortress on the other side of the barge was originally built in the 1100s. If you look closely you can see that when the M1 was built they tunnelled through it rather than tear it down.
