Our first stop as we drove along the Rhine Valley was at Boppard. It was once a fortified town and some of its towers and walls remain. This is Säuerlingsturm.  From here you can get a cruise boat that travels the Rhine River as far as Mainz. Select the photo below to see more of Boppard.
