Inland Scenic Route From Rakaia River to Lake Tekapo

We crossed the Selwyn River at another of the one lane bridges that we were surprised to see many of in New Zealand. There are no one land bridges left in Australia on main highways but I guess we have a lot more land to play with. We arrived at Lake Tekapo and were amazed at the colour of the water. The finely ground rock in the glacial melted waters give Lake Tekapo a beautifully unique turquoise color. Select the photo to see more of Lake Tekapo.
