Lake Pukaki to Oamaru and Kakanui

Leaving Lake Pukaki, we decided to buy some fresh salmon from the nearby High Country Salmon Farm on the Benmore Canal. The lakes and canals provide excellent fishing in this region and there were plenty of fisherman lined up on the edge of this canal trying their luck. Select the photo to see the salmon for sale.
