Queenstown to Haast Pass, New Zealand

We passed through Cardrona which is known for its skiing in winter. There is not much happening in this sleepy town in summer. The historic hotel is one of the 3 remaining buildings from the early gold rush days. We stopped for a walk around the shore of Lake Wanaka and we had a nice view into Mt Aspiring National Park.
