Tasmania Roadtrip - Central Plateau

Those mountains off in the distance to the west are in Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park. Mt Ossa is the highest peak at 1617m and it is 35km 'as the crow flies' from Devils Gullet Lookout. Cradle Mountain is just shy of that height and easy to spot with its characteristic jagged peaks.
