Half way to the Mele Falls you veer off the track to the left and come to a lookout which gives you a panoramic view of Mele Harbour and Hideaway Island in the middle of it. There are no signs so you can miss this if you aren't with a guided tour which we weren't. We chose the bus and to pay our own entrance fee. This was by far the cheaper option and we could stay as long as we wanted.
