South Island New Zealand

Kaikora township is on a rocky peninsula and is a very pretty spot with snow capped Mt Lyford behind you and beautiful bays in front. Apart from the fur seals and dusky dolphins which seem to be everywhere, you can also spot the occasional Sperm whale, Pilot whale and Orca not far off the coast. There were seals sitting and lying on the rocks here but you don't notice them at first as they stay pretty still. Select the photo to see one of the seals up closer.
